Digital printing is a method of printing from a digital-based image directly to sheet, rollstock, or films. It also allows for on-demand printing, short turnaround time, and even a modification of the image (variable data) used for each impression. The savings in labor and the ever-increasing capability of digital printing methods means that Spartech digital printing technology can match or supersede conventional printing methods' ability to produce high-quality print runs at competitive prices.
Rotogravure printing transfers depressions in metal cylinders to various print media like paper and many thermoplastic materials. Rotogravure printing has high initial costs due to the size and quantity of the engraved cylinders required, but it is the printing method of choice for large printing jobs that require a long repeating pattern.
Water Transfer Printing
Water transfer printing, also known as immersion printing, water transfer imaging, hydro dipping, watermarbling, cubic printing, Hydrographics, or HydroGraphics, is a method of applying printed designs to three-dimensional surfaces. The water transfer printing process is extensively used to decorate items that range from entire all-terrain vehicles and car dashboards, to small items like bike helmets or other automotive trim. Films can be applied to all types of plastic substrates. For the most part, if the item can be dipped in water and can be painted using traditional techniques then the hydrographic printing process can be used.
