Plastics Help Innovative Ideas Take Off.

From window shades and bulkheads to aircraft canopies, Spartech plastics meet the most demanding aerospace design and application challenges. We offer a full line of fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft material options for both commercial and military markets.

The Royalite® product line is a light-weight, aerospace rated sheet that is ideal for aircraft interiors due to its FAR 25/853 flame-rated compliance and is available with antimicrobial protection upon request.  Spartech also offers Polycast® clear sheet, which offers superior transparency and strength and is designed specifically to meet the use and performance demands in both commercial and military aerospace aircraft use cases. Add to this our supply chain reliability, experienced material engineers, innovation and prototyping capabilities and it’s clear to see why so many aerospace companies turn to Spartech to help their aircraft projects take off.

The innovation process begins at Spartech’s Innovation Center. Your requirements are the starting point in customizing materials, structure, and decorating possibilities. We have you covered for testing as well, with a fully staffed testing lab using the latest equipment to test, fire, smoke, impact, scratch and other tests.

INTERIORS

Offering a complete range of aircraft interior solutions, FAA-compliant Royalite® aerospace rated sheet is a lightweight material with very high impact and tensile strength. It also delivers the required stiffness, formability and ductility that complex aircraft interior parts demand. Royalite® is all about reducing weight and costs. The weight reduction allows for reduced overall production costs for aircraft manufacturers and reduced operating costs and fuel consumption for aircraft operators.

Royalite’s finishing characteristics make it possible to machine, saw, drill, rout and grind this rigid sheet. It can be punched or die-cut, and paints can be applied using spray, silk screen or roller coating processes (for optimum performance, paints formulated for plastics must be used). Following proper bonding procedures, this material can be joined to other materials, or itself, using adhesive formulated for plastics, ultrasonic welding and by mechanical fasteners such as screws and rivets.
