Over the last several days, many states in which Spartech operates have issued “shutdowns”, “stay at home” and “stay in place” orders for any non-essential businesses and their employees.
Based on our customers’ applications and legal advice, we are an essential business and employees are essential personnel, integral to medical diagnostic equipment, household sanitary products, food manufacturing, and other vital operations as defined by applicable state orders and issued guidance. We need to stay in operation to serve the community providing essential products.
If any personnel have contact with the virus, we will follow CDC quarantine guidelines in place at that time.
Work-at-home capable employees are doing so and facilities are practicing increased sanitation, strict social distancing, and travel/visitor restrictions.
These measures will ensure the health and safety of our associates while serving the essential needs of our communities. We are monitoring the coronavirus situation closely and will keep our team and valued customers apprised of potential changes that are required due to new legislation that is passed.
