With the broadest product portfolio in the industry Spartech is the marketplace leader when it comes to Fire Rated Sheet Products. Setting industry standards are the family of Royalite fire rated products which has grown over the years and now includes not only the PVC based R-59, R-52, and R47, but also our recently introduced non PVC ABS R572 and PC/ABS R-926.

Spartech provides performance driven solutions via our engineered fire rated products, for a wide array of applications in the medical, transportation, electronics, and building & construction market segments. When it comes to extruded fire rated sheet products, we set the standard.

ROYALITE® R47
A proprietary PVC alloy that is cost competitive with acrylic/PVC alloys while maintaining physical performance and improving formability. It maintains the superior thermoforming characteristics of an ABS/PVC alloy, while bringing a higher degree of impact, tensile strength, and stiffness. It also has improved heat distortion characteristics over most acrylic/PVC sheets. Its high degree of rigidity, especially in thin gauges, allows for significant cost-per-part savings. Its combination of toughness, durability, abrasion and chemical resistance, and fire retardancy* makes it the perfect choice for a wide variety of applications such as trays, tote boxes, ducts, sinks, electronic equipment, business machine housings, and internal electronic components.

ROYALITE® R52
A fire-rated*, rigid acrylic/PVC product that combines very high impact strength, tensile strength, stiffness and hardness with excellent formability. It is recognized under the component program of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. with a classification of UL94V-0 at 0.027" gauge and UL94-5VA at 0.051" gauge. The sheet has excellent chemical and stain resistance, is very economical, and comes in a wide range of standard and custom colors, thicknesses and blank sizes. Its outstanding chemical resistance and deep draw formability make it suitable for many industrial applications such as trays, tote boxes, ducts, flumes, tanks and sinks.

ROYALITE® R59
A unique ABS/PVC product that meets many industry flammability standards. It is recognized under the component program of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. with a classification of 94V-1 at 0.058", 94V-0 at 0.085" and 94-5VA at 0.085". It combines very high impact strength with excellent ductility and formability. Because of its fire rating*, ROYALITE® R59 sheet has won acceptance in a variety of applications from rapid transit vehicle interiors to computer and electronic data processing terminals. Its high rigidity in thin gauges coupled with consistent high quality color, texture and gloss makes it ideal for such varied applications as computer side panels and airport seating.

ROYALITE® R572
R572 is RoHS compliant, non PVC & PBDE containing, Flame Retardant ABS engineered to meet the flammability requirements for today's most demanding applications. R572 is UL listed in all colors, 94-V0 @ 0.063" and UL94 5VA @ 0.125". With its superior combination of physical, mechanical, and flame retardant properties R572 is an excellent choice for applications in the business equipment, electronics, and medical markets for those OEM's looking to market their products in the global market place.

ROYALITE® R60-LS (R61)
Formulated to meet the smoke and fire specifications recommended by the Federal Transit Administration (formerly UMTA), R60-LS consistently meets FTA guidelines for flammability* and smoke emission* as measured by ASTM E-162 and ASTM E-662 respectively, at thicknesses of 0.090" and greater. This fact should be carefully considered when designing parts, as end use compliance may be based on the thickness of the part when it is installed. It is ideally suited for applications in mass transportation like seat backs, overhead storage bins, trays, side panels, window surrounds, etc. Other applications include office equipment, interior building facades and industrial equipment where reduced smoke generation is desirable.

ROYALITE® R66
Specifically formulated to meet the stringent smoke and fire specifications of the Federal Transit Administration, R66 meets the guidelines for flammability and smoke emission as measured by ASTM E-162 and ASTM E-662 at thicknesses of .060 and above. Additionally, R66 carries a Dmax smoke density rating of less than 200 at .090. The unique formulation of Royalite® R66 not only allows it to meet the FTA guidelines, but gives specifiers, engineers, and thermoformers a material that surpasses all others in its class in processability and durability. It offers a superior range of physical and mechanical properties over other related materials, and its ease in thermoforming and machining make it the new material of choice for such rail and bus components as seat backs, overhead storage bins, trays, side panels, and window surrounds.

ROYALITE® R71/920
A fire-rated*, polycarbonate ABS product that combines very high impact strength, high tensile strength and stiffness with excellent formability and exceptional heat resistance. It offers an excellent combination of mechanical and thermal properties and is formulated for high dimensional stability, rigidity, easy processing and consistent color control. R71/920 is an ideal material for applications such as telecommunications equipment, instrument panels, general office equipment, and electronics.
