Formalloy TPR™

Previously made from carpet or rubber, cargo floor mats and trays are now being made from specialty alloys like Formalloy TPR due to its durability, low cost, and improved aesthetics.

Formalloy TPR™ is a proprietary blend of TPR and polyethylene that delivers the benefits of a thermoplastic rubber without the unpleasant odor associated with similar products.

In addition to being very flexible, Formalloy TPR™ has an excellent compression set and is very pliable. It will retain its thermoformed shape even after being folded of rolled for shipping or packaging purposes. Both layers of this co-extruded product contain Spartech's proprietary TPR material. The top layer is virgin material while the substrate is TPR regrind and recycled trim. The pure cap provides all the desired surface quality, while the substrate material enables us to deliver cost advantages to our customers.

Because it is odorless and retains its shape after vacuum forming, Formalloy TPR is the material of choice for floor mats and sport utility vehicle cargo mats.
