Laminated Sheet

Laminated sheet features a base plastic sheet combined with a blown film barrier material and surface sealant for customized "value-added" performance. It is often used in applications requiring medium to low barrier such as Modified & Controlled Atmosphere packaging for case ready meats, refrigerated pasta, cookies, etc.

The lamination process provides medium to low barrier opportunities to existing "mono-layer" materials with minimal process change and no tooling modifications. Laminations enhance performance with customized seal & peel characteristics for traditionally hard-to-seal materials. There is a minimal effect on clarity so laminated sheet can still be used with applications requiring transparent packaging.

Materials

Spartech manufactures rigid packaging sheet and rollstock in a variety of materials including Polystyrene, High Density and Low Density Polyethylene, RPET, APET, EVOH, PVDC, Polypropylene (including HoPP and CoPP), K-Resin®, PETG, and other custom materials.
