We at Spartech realize that there is a limited supply of petroleum, the basis for most of the materials we market. For this reason, we have several initiatives in place to better utilize the resources we have through recycling and reuse, and to develop materials that come from renewable resources such as corn.

In addition, we have implemented energy conservation programs in our facilities and are always developing products for applications in which the end product helps to conserve energy, such as skylights.

  From USEPA WasteWise initiatives and NEPT membership to Reclaim Programs and Plant Recycling efforts.
  
• Renewable Materials
  The investigation, development, and testing of materials like NatureWorks® PLA for new applications.
  
• Energy Conservation
  The development of energy saving processes within our own manufacturing plants and the production of more energy efficient products.
