Compounds & Additives

Spartech manufactures a variety of specialty compounds and additives that aid in recycling efforts or otherwise create situations that reduce waste. Below are some examples.


Packalloy TFPP Packalloy TFPP is an Olefin alloy that is engineered to go from "freezer to microwave" and ultimately be used as one-serve dinner ware. This multi-functional product reduces the need for multiple containers to serve the various needs (freeze, heat in the microwave, eat off of) and the associated cleaners and water required to clean these multiple containers. In addition, Packalloy TFPP is fully recyclable.



Enviro-Guard in Tub Surrounds Enviro-Guard is a unique anti-microbial additive that can be used in tub surrounds, spas, and other applications. Use of this additive not only reduced or eliminated mold and mildew growth, but also helps to reduce the frequency with which a tub surround needs to be cleaned. Less frequent cleanings result in reduced usage of cleaning chemicals and water.



Laser Pro Laser Pro is an additive developed by our Spartech Polycom group for those OEM's who want to make recycling of the thermoplastic components much easier. When added to polyolefin, Laser Pro enables the manufactured component to be easily laser etched. This additive eliminates the paper deification label that is typically adhered to ever part, a label that in most cases fades over time and one that certainly must be removed before any recycling can occur.
