Environmental Initiatives for Different Applications

Spartech has developed various environmentally friendly products and materials for a number of market segments and specific applications. Some examples include: (1) Light covers made of a unique polyester alloy we call UltraTufCX™ where our material allowed for a reduction of customer scrap, cycle time, and required packaging materials; (2) Kayaks made of a multilayer material called WeatherProG™ where this material replaced fiberglass and gel coat and the associated VOC emissions of these two materials; and (3) Phone Cards made of a styrenic alloy called Valiant™ where we were able to provide a durable and cost effective alternative to PVC.
