Logistics Manager

Wichita, KS

Spartech Corporation is seeking a Logistics Manager at the Wichita, Kansas location.

Primary Responsibilities will include:

-All activities related to receiving and shipping products, including working with suppliers to resolve delivery issues.

-All activities at the warehouse, dealing with hazardous and/or unusable materials from suppliers, and overseeing packaging waste and recycling and monitoring

-Stock production areas with required raw materials and packaging materials

-Overseeing the overall housekeeping of the warehouse

-Perform monthly inventory, track and report inventory poundage and dollars; Improve/maintain inventory accuracy

-Responsible for the condition of all material in the warehouse

-Regular attendance

-Responsibility as deemed necessary in order to insure EHS compliance including participating on safety committee

-Purchase of raw and other materials

-Work with sales department on pricing and material availability

-Work with vendors for color match requests from customers

-Supervise direct staff, which could include warehouse, inventory control, dispatch/shipping personnel

-Coordination with outside vendors for grinding of scrap metal

Qualified candidates will have a Associates degree in manufacturing, business or related or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years logistics and or/shipping/receiving/warehouse experience. Minimum of 3 years experience in purchasing raw materials, when applicable to job. Minimum of 4 years logistics and/or warehouse management or supervision experience. Experience interfacing with sales, operations and vendor personnel. Experience using Microsoft Suite.
