Specialty Sheet Products

Initially developed by our sheet and roll stock group to support the manufacture of fuel cells for the VW Passatt, Spartech's Low-E Poly sheet is also engineered to meet the most demanding performance criteria for OEM's looking for a solution to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) emissions requirements. Target market segments for Low E Poly include automotive, lawn & garden, and power sports.




This new product offering has been developed from the olefin family of materials. PolyMed™ is targeted to serve the orthotic and prosthetic medical markets. This product with its lenticular design, brings a unique 3-dimensional/flip imagery feature and has been developed to serve the packaging design, advertising signage, and point-of-purchase (P-O-P) display markets.




UltraTuf CX is a polyester alloy that has been formulated to exhibit superior impact strength, notch sensitivity, and clarity. This highly engineered sheet product is now being utilized in personal protection face shields and fluorescent bulb covers. Given its excellent balance of performance properties and ease of fabrication UltraTuf CX is being targeted for a number of applications in the safety and building & construction market segments.




Formalloy LG™ is Spartech's new low-gloss co-extruded TPO alloy, and is an excellent material for large, painted-part applications. Key features of Formalloy LG™ include its tremendous impact strength and good surface aesthetics that allow for the application of paint with minimum surface preparation. This product is already in use in the trucking and automotive markets, and applications are in development by recreational vehicle and agricultural equipment manufacturers.




Utilizing a unique bacteria-reducing polymer, Enviro-Guard AM has been developed by Spartech Plastics to address the personal health and safety concerns in today's marketplace. This technology is being formulated into a coextruded Acrylic/ABS Alloy, which is utilized in a number of sanitaryware applications including bathtubs, sinks, and showers. Enviro-Guard AM provides the added benefit of anti-microbial protection and is also targeted for use in the building & construction, appliance, and leisure markets.




Polyshield CR, manufactured by our Spartech Polycast Group, is targeted for demanding applications in the transportation and building & construction market segments. Formulated to provide the highest degree of chemical and abrasion resistance, this transparent cell cast sheet meets the performance criteria required in a number of highly engineered aircraft windshields, instrument faceplates, and welding shields.




SoundX Plus, from our Custom Sheet & Rollstock Group, combines the sound abatement properties of a mineral filled polymer, with a cap layer of water resistant polyolefin. This valued-added sheet product provides reduced noise levels, and enhanced protection from external sources of moisture. SoundX Plus is targeted for applications in the automotive, heavy truck, and recreational vehicle industries.




Specifically formulated for the architectural glazing market, Solarex SV provides an impact strength and chemical resistance far superior to that of general purpose acrylic. Extruded by Spartech Plastics, Solarex SV is the most recent enhancement to our copolyester product portfolio. With its UV stability and superior balance of physical properties, Solarex SV is an excellent choice for skylights, canopies, and additional glazing applications in the building and construction market.




Enviro-TECT MPS, a polyester sheet material produced by Spartech Plastics, offers end users good toughness, superior chemical resistance, and ease of fabrication, making it an excellent material choice for numerous applications in the architectural and building & construction industries. The benefits of Enviro-TECT MPS were validated with its use in the nationally recognized Rapid Deployment Flood Wall Project.




Spartech Polycast's EX-Cell, an enhanced cell cast acrylic material, is being targeted for both the marine and furniture & fixture industries. The material's formability, ductility, and ease of processing make it a logical material choice for boat hatches and doors, hinged lids, point-of-purchase displays, and many other applications.




Acryshield L3™ is a cell-cast acrylic based alloy developed by our Polycast Sheet division targeted to serve the security industry. Bullet-Resistant to Level 3, Acryshield L3 combines optical clarity with superior bullet-resistant protection. Its ballistic protection capability exceeds the criteria set forth in U.L. level 3 requirements. This is an excellent material for applications such as bank teller and convenience store protection windows, ATM machine face plates, and law enforcement and taxicab vehicle front/back seat window dividers.




This unique "skid-resistant" alloy compliments the strength and durability of our polyethylene family of products with a non-skid feature. Ultros SRP™ has been developed to serve the recreation & leisure, light truck, marine, and material handling markets. Applications include outdoor playground equipment, truck bed liners, small watercraft decking, and pallet & dunnage trays.




Formalloy TPR™ is Spartech's name for a proprietary blend of TPR and polyethylene. Formalloy TPR™ delivers the benefits of a thermoplastic rubber without the unpleasant odor associated with similar products. In addition to flexibility, this product has an excellent compression set and is very pliable: it will retain its thermoformed shape even after being folded or rolled for shipping or packaging. Both layers of this co-extruded product contain Spartech proprietary TPR material - the top layer is virgin, the substrate is TPR regrind and recycled trim. The pure cap provides all the desired surface quality, while the substrate material enables us to deliver cost advantages to our customers. Because it is odorless, and retains its shape after vacuum forming, Formalloy TPR is the material of choice for floor mats and sport utility vehicle cargo mats.




Soft Touch TPE is a performance engineered alloy which has been formulated to exhibit superior toughness, chemical, scratch and mar resistance. This extruded sheet product is now being utilized in a flooring application in the Hummer H3. Given its excellent balance of performance properties and ease of fabrication, Soft Touch TPE is being targeted for a number of applications in the transportation and recreation market segments.




Manufactured from a blend of specialized materials, this alloy offers sound abatement properties for both the automotive and construction markets. Placing SoundX between walls of buildings or indoor panels of automobiles significantly reduces noise levels and also serves as a moisture barrier.
